Pomegranate fruit producers go optimistic in the season

200,000 tons of pomegranates expected this year
Producers of pomegranates from Turkey count that they will profit of the decreasing volumes of this fruit produced in Iran this year.
Only with area of 4.500 hectares in region of Tarsus, Turkey is one of the most important pomegranates deliverers in the world.
In Tarsus region producers expect around 200,000 tons this year. 70% - 170.000 tons will be exported abroad, to Russia, Ukraine, Germany and Romania.
