Prices for melons and water melons have gone up in Ukraine

Agricultural specialists report that due to lack of supply, prices for local melons and watermelons have grown up to 40% within fruit market of Ukraine. The main reason of fruit shortage is first of all end of early melons season and secondly low quality of the fruits available.

Wholesale prices for melons and watermelons comprise 0,08 – 0,12 EURO/kg this week. While last year figures during the same period are registered to be 2 times less.
