Fruit & vegetable export increased in first quarter

In first quarter of this year, Vietnam exported for 71 mil. US dollars, what was 13,9 % more in value than last year.
The official plan is to go up with export to US $ 700 mil in 2010 and 1 billion US $ in 2015. All export value in 2006 was 236 mil. dollar.
The officials are declaring cooperation and coordination between state, companies, scientists and producers in order to make possible the export of a larger volume of fruit & vegetable of high quality and produced at lower price so country could compete getting bigger orders from China, USA, Japan and Australia.
The official propaganda is encouraging the producers to apply planting system compatible international standards of Good Agricultural Practice (GAP).
