Banana returns to Marseille with CMA CGM and Canavese

The port of Marseille-Fos welcome every week a new traffic bananas with the decision of the Canavese Group, one of the leading French fruit and vegetable sector and CMA CGM, 3rd worldwide group of container shipping, choose the basins of Marseille to import reefer containers of bananas from Ivory Coast.

This new traffic reveals the will of CMA CGM to attract new volumes in Marseille from Africa, a continent in full development. The ships will be met at Marseilles on the Med Europe Terminal.The decision marks a historic Canavese return of bananas in the Eastern Basin of the Port of Marseille-Fos. It also reflects the renewed confidence of customers in the capacity of the port of Marseille-Fos to handle perishable products, both in terms of reliability and quality of service.
