EU extends road transport agreement with Moldova

Initially signed on June 29, 2022 to run until June 30, 2024, the road transport agreement between the European Union and Moldova has significantly increased road exports for both economies.

 

The European Commission has announced that the EU and Moldova have decided to extend the validity of their current road transport agreement until December 31, 2025.

 

Since this agreement, Moldova's road exports to the EU have increased by +35% in volume in Q3 2023 compared to Q3 2021. EU road exports to Moldova increased by +30% in value from Q3 2021 to Q3 2022, and stabilized at around the same value in Q3 2023.
