Poland to export apples to Indonesia in 2024

Poland is in talks with the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture about plans to export apples. The process is well underway and the 1st export could take place in a few months' time.

Indonesian media report that Poland is set to export its 1st apple to Indonesia next year. According to the head of the Polish Trade and Investment Agency office in Jakarta, the laboratory recognition process has been finalized with the Ministry of Agriculture. Polish apples should be on the Indonesian market during Ramadan, which begins in March 2024.

According to BPS, the national statistics agency, Indonesia imported around 749 million kilos of fruit in 2022, mainly from China (479.6 million kilos).
