After a drop noted in April and May, Turkish exports of dried fruits recorded an increase of + 40.7% in June. For the first half of the year, the export volume has maintained the same level as last year for the same period.
According to TIM, the assembly of Turkish exporters, the country exported dried fruits worth $606.5 million in the first half of the year. Despite the health crisis, the dried fruit sector has largely maintained its export volume compared to the same period last year.
Raisins lead with $222.1 million, followed by dried apricots with $114.9 million and dried figs with $90.4 million.
Monthly analysis of the figures showed an increase in exports in March ($123.6 million) followed by declines in April ($104.1 million) and May ($74.4 million). But in June, when many countries accelerated the standardization process, exports reached $89.5 million.
