Peruvian passion fruit exports increased by 27% in value

Between January and July 2021, Peruvian passion fruit exports totaled $ 35,643,000, presenting an increase of 27%, compared to the $ 28,171,110 achieved in the same period of 2020, according to the Agroexport Management of the Association of Exporters (ADEX) .
These shipments were also higher than shipments in the same period of 2019 (pre-pandemic) with placements for $32,334,000.
The 2 main destinations were the Netherlands with $ 18,541,000, registering an increase of 16% (52% of the total) and the United States with $ 7,110,000, showing an increase of 93.5% (20% of the total).
Other important destinations: Chile ($ 2,805,000), Puerto Rico ($ 1,863,000), France ($ 755,950), Canada ($ 744,305), Spain ($ 697,760), Australia ($ 559,711), Dominican Republic ($ 375,704), Belgium ($ 342,962).
