US citrus production increases

The United States recorded a net increase in citrus fruit production in 2005-06, with declines in orange production offset by gains in grapefruit, tangerines and lemons, according to the latest USDA crop report.
Orange volumes are forecast to show a slight decrease of 2 percent, but grapefruit is expected to be up by about 12 percent on last year.
