Turkish stone fruit production set to rise

According to market reports, production of Turkish stone fruits in 2005 is expected to increase on last year's results. Cherries and peaches are the main stone fruit exports, although dried apricots are also an important export product. Stone fruits account for approximately 14 percent of overall fruit production in Turkey behind deciduous and citrus fruits.
