According to the data processed by INCOFRUIT-HELLAS, the Association of Greek exporting companies, the growth rates are satisfactory for several summer fruits categories.
Calculated up to July 12, cherry export volumes reached 22,482 tonnes, up by 10.14% over the previous year. For exports of nectarines, the increase is even stronger with + 66.29% compared to the previous year. In terms of apricot and peach volumes, exports decreased by 0.8% from the previous year.
Exports of cherries, nectarines, apricots, peaches and watermelons continue. Incofruit-HELLAS mentions however that the recent bad weather should cause a decrease in the volume of production. In particular for the production of table grapes which were initially planned for a small harvest in certain producing regions.
