Organic fresh produce sales grew by +5.5% in 2021

In the US, organic fresh produce sales in 2021 continued to grow, with sales reaching $9.2 billion, up 5.5% from 2020.

 

According to the report published by Organic Produce Network in collaboration with Category Partners, total organic fresh produce sales for 2021 reached $9.2 billion, an increase of $477 million over 2020.

 

The organic fresh berry category (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries) was the top performer in 2021 in terms of year-on-year growth, with +14% sales and +10% volume growth.

 

Packaged salads were still the number one fresh organic category in terms of total sales, exceeding USD 1.5 billion.
