Interko, a top company in fresh fruit ripening rooms, has made big changes to focus more on innovation and efficiency. The Dutch company is starting 2025 with a strong commitment to improving its technology.

Last year, Interko shut down its in-house sheet metal production and hired more engineers. This allows the team to focus on creating the most advanced and energy-saving ripening rooms.

With help from the University of Delft, Interko’s factory in Moerkapelle has been reorganized to improve workflow. A new logistics department has also been added, making work easier and more efficient. These changes have created a better work environment where employees can be more productive and happy.

Focusing on what matters

Chris Maat, Managing Director and Partner at Interko, shared his thoughts: “2024 was a year of big internal changes. By focusing on our main strength — building ripening rooms — we have become more dedicated to engineering. This helps us stay ahead in creating the best ripening solutions.”
