Zimbabwe has seen a big increase of +270% for its exports of fresh leguminous vegetables like peas and green beans to EU in the last 5 years.
ZIMTRADE, in its periodical info points out that fresh leguminous vegetables export to EU have generated USD 5.4 Millions in 2010, to be compared with USD 20 Millions in 2014
During the same period (2010 - 2014) global imports of the EU for fresh leguminous vegetables have seen an increase of +29%, from USD 780 Millions to USD 1 billion.
Zimtrade estimates that Zimbabwe exports have a very small marketshare in Europe, with only 1.3%.
Kenya would detain 10% and Egypt: 4 %
