Red apples kept their leadership in sales as well as the prices. The significant quantity arrives in the end of this week from Chile which may disturb the situation but not change it completely. Polish Ida Red was sold on 1,85 US$/kg level. Chinese Fuji – 2,02 US$/kg due to strong demand for all kind of Red apples in Russia. South African Golden was even in a stronger demand than Red varieties in week 24 – 2,16 US$/kg due to end of European season. The Granny had the worst situation. Price from warehouses without cooling reached 1,40 US$/kg level for Argentine fruits which turned brown very quickly. In the meantime full colored Chilean Granny was sold on about 1,70 US$/kg.
The market for Packhams started to wake up. Prices for green sound stuff went up to 1,64 US$/kg level. Not much pears left from previous weeks as the yellowish ones couldn’t have trading value anymore. Despite of decreasing the process for Conference to 2,175 US$/kg level there was some demand for this variety in week 25.
The only change for the grapes – there appeared some demand for qualitative stuff which was not on the Russian market at all in week 25. The buyers were willing to pay 2,57 US$/kg for sound Red Globe but they were offered the stuff with quality problems on 1,80 US$/kg. Some Crimson from Chile arrives to the market next week being sold without the prices.
