More organic products in Turkey

Despite the adverse weather conditions that affected the agricultural sector as a whole , organic products , however, increased their market share in 2014 to reach a value of 400 million Turkish liras , according to the President of the Association of producers and industrial organic products. This corresponds to an approximately 25% increase, which in fact corresponds to increased consumer demand, despite higher prices.

More than 60 000 Turkish producers in organic production.According to statistics obtained in 2013 , organic production has exceeded 1.5 million tonnes from an area of about 800,000 hectares, for a range of over 300 products whose export is also increasing to 32 countries, mostly European .

We can denier that government support was a key factor in the development of this sector.
