Good beginning of harvest for the Valle del Jerte cherries

This year, harvest is considered of good quality and volumes are expected to reach expectations.

10 million kilos of cherries AOP Valle Del Jerte are expected this year. The harvest began and the cooperative association announces 80 000 kilos collected per day. Production will soon reach 300,000 kilos per day.
Picota is the star of the AOP Valle Del Jerte.

Exports to the United Kingdom, one of its major markets, began. This year, a promotional campaign will begin in Russia where the Picota Valle de Jerte will be shipped for the first time.
