Forecast of an increase in citrus production

For the current year which began on 21st of March, Iran expects an increase in its citrus production.

 

 

According to the department of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Department of Tropical and Subtropical Fruits, citrus production is estimated at 5 million tons. This represents a 7% increase over last year's production.

 

 

About 48% of the volume produced will be grown in northern Mazandaran province and the rest in other southern provinces.
