The spread of the disease continues- there are now 1,626 infected orchards.
New cases of Psa-V have been discovered.
The disease continues to spread, with 33 new cases discovered and identified since the first case in the region of Hawkes Bay. It brings the number of affected orchards to 1626 according to the Kiwi
Vine Health.
Professionals point out that the fall and spring, with rain and wind, promote the spread of Psa-V since the infection can be present in an orchard but not detected during winter .
