According to Mecia Petersen, the South African table grape industry has always been committed to developing and increasing its offer for the Chinese market. SATI has promoted its grapes in China with several events at wholesale markets and retail outlets, as well as various promotions in several Chinese cities.

In 2022, South African grape exports to China, both fresh and dried, amounted to 13.34 million USD. For this new season, Mecia Petersen expects an increase in market share in China.
