New board of directors and new president for Europatat

A few days ago, the Irish capital hosted the WPC (World Potato Congress) and Europatat. The event brought together the potato community which celebrated the 70th anniversary of Europatat on 29 May. On May 30, the Association's General Assembly elected a new Board of Directors.

 

As President, Mr. Tigran Richter replaces the outgoing President, Mr. Gilles Fontaine who successfully led Europatat over the past 4 years. As vice-president Mr. Domenico Citterio and as treasurer Mr. Heero Gramsma.

 

The new president of Europatat, Mr. Tigran Richter is the director of NORIKA, a German potato breeding company and a member of DKHV (Deutscher Kartoffelhandelsverband e. V), the association of German potato traders who l proposed as a candidate for the open position on the board of directors of Europatat. Mr. Richter has also been a member of the Europatat advisory board since 2017 and he is the outgoing chairman of the Europatat seed commission.

 

 

The 2021-2022 activity report was presented to the members as well as the new strategy for the 2022-2025 period.
