MEX, Mediterranean Express, connects Western Africa to the Mediterranean

The Mediterranean Express (MEX) service, inaugurated last October by the Grimaldi Group which links the Mediterranean to Western Africa, is entirely managed by the Grimaldi Group.
With a gross tonnage of 29,400 tons, vessels have allowed to double frequency of the MEX service from Salerno, one of the group’s major hub ports, which is connected by Grimaldi with other Eastern Mediterranean ports such as Piraeus, Izmir, Mersin, Yenikoy, Gemlik, Alexandria, Limassol, Ashdod, Beirut and Lattakia.
The Grimaldi Group regularly links North Europe with Western Africa through three regular services. Other connections can be shipped to the ports of Banjul (Gambia), Conakry (Guinea), Freetown (Sierra Leone), Monrovia (Liberia), Abidjan (Ivory Coast), Tema (Ghana), Douala (Cameroon), Boma (Dem. Rep. Of Congo), Pointe Noire (Congo-Brazzaville) and Luanda (Angola).
