New development for SIIM which plans the construction of the I1 building, a 12,000m2 industrial platform in the heart of the Rungis Market.
SIIM announces the construction of a new 12,000 m2 building on Rungis. It will bring together SIIM's ripening and packaging activities, thus becoming the largest site dedicated to the ripening of bananas and exotic fruits in France.
This new building in Rungis, located at I1 in the warehouse zone, will have a total surface area of 12,000m2 which will increase the company's capacity to mature to 100,000 tonnes by 2020. By bringing together on a single platform the activities ripening and packaging of SIIM it will become the largest site dedicated to the ripening of bananas and exotic fruits in France.
The head office of the Omer-Decugis et Fils Group, of which SIIM is the main subsidiary, will also be located on the I1. Since 2012 and the construction of its C3 site, the SIIM has experienced a strong development of its activities and begins a new stage of its development with the construction of the I1 building which will be operational from Q1 2020.
Producer, importer, ripener and distributor of tropical fruits and vegetables, SIIM, a subsidiary of the OMER-DECUGIS & FILS Group, is present in production in Africa and Latin America. SIIM has its own distribution network in France and Spain from where it supplies all European markets. It offers its specific expertise in ripening (bananas, mangoes, papayas, avocados) that allows it to offer a range of bananas and exotic fruits at maturity guaranteed from its ripening platform Rungis.
