New Zealand opens its market to pineapples from Taiwan

The Ministry of Agriculture has announced that the export of pineapples grown in Taiwan to New Zealand has been approved, following the signing of a bilateral agreement between the governments of the 2 countries (Photo: nspp.mofa.gov.tw).
Following on from lychee and mango, which had already obtained New Zealand approval, pineapple from Taiwan has now been granted permission to enter the New Zealand market.
Local media report that the Ministry of Agriculture has announced that the export of pineapple grown in Taiwan to New Zealand has been approved, following the signing of a bilateral agreement between the governments of the 2 countries.
This new market confirms the intensification of the company's export diversification policy. New Zealand joins the numerous destinations where Taiwanese pineapple is already exported, including Australia, Bahrain, Brunei, Canada, Guam, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, the Marshall Islands, Palau, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, the Netherlands and the United Arab Emirates.
