EU antitrust officials raid banana and grapefruit traders

The European offices of several major banana and grapefruit traders, including Chiquita and Fyffes, were raided at the beginning of June as part of an investigation into alleged price-fixing. The EU commission officials raided producers and traders of bananas and pineapples throughout Europe, including Chiquita's Antwerp offices and Fyffes' offices in Dublin.
