Without chemicals and without outer products, organic farming is developing and allows an increase of income of the Indian producers.
The organic farming is rapidly growing and the country could multiply by 10 before 2015 surfaces dedicated to the organic.
In India, organic farming began 10 years ago and quickly developed. Without chemicals and without pesticides, it conquered farmers because she does not ask for the use of outer products.
The organic farming is also a source of increase of income for producers. It is present now in the provinces of Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Sikim, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Chattisgarh and Jharkhand.
That’s why, in 2003, the government of Sikkim settled as objective to convert all the State in organic before 2015. Sikkim is a small mountainous State, where 82 % of the total surface is covered with forests and only cultivable at 11 %.
India exports more and more organic food product. By increasing its surfaces, the country can increase its exports. India should also multiply tenfold its organic export in the next years.
