Serbian Raspberry in the second half of June 2008

Serbian strawberries suppliers report that the crop is looking as being up to 30% down on last year which will once again put pressure on prices. Prices indications for ex field product has been reported at 2.0 Euros per kg making it very expensive, however the general comments are that the price is likely to fall slightly once the crop has been fully harvested by the end of July.
Offers are slowly coming out of Serbia and the recommendations would be to cover some stock from this origin and see how the Polish crop is when that comes on line in the next few weeks.
