Cucumbers and tomatoes accounted for 231 100 tonnes of the 235 200 tonnes of greenhouse vegetables at the end of April 2018.
New increase in volumes of greenhouse produced vegetables in Russia.
According to data from the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, greenhouse vegetable harvesting totaled 235,200 tons at the end of April 2018. That is 39.58% more than in the same period of 2017 when production reached 168,500 tons.
By category: cucumbers (179,300 tonnes) and tomatoes (51,800 tonnes) top the list. By region of production: the Krasnodar region (22,800 tons), the Moscow region (17,700 tons), the Stavropol region (16,500 tons).
