Low impact of the earthquake on the sector of fruits and vegetables.
Chile was struck by an earthquake of 8.2 magnitude on the Richter scale. The epicenter was at sea 100 miles northwest of the coastal city of Iquique.
For the sector of fruits and vegetables, the damages are limited, the regions produce little and rarely for foreign markets. The earthquake is less severe than that of 2010, but for some seismologists, we must expect another earthquake widespread in the region.
