TOMRA Food introduced new organization

On January 28 TOMRA Food announced their new organization concentrated on two business areas, Fresh Food and Processed Food. It brings together the vast technology portfolio, the wide array of Research & Development skills, and an important global footprint in the sector.
TOMRA Food announced the appointment of Ken Moynihan as CEO TOMRA Processed Food. Ken holds over 15 years of experience in executive leadership roles and technology, most recently as CEO of Compac, the global player in fresh fruit sorting technology acquired by TOMRA in 2017.
Geoff Furniss, for now on is CEO TOMRA Fresh Food, is the leader for packhouse solutions in fresh vegetables and fruits (apples, citrus, stone fruit, avocados, blueberries and cherries). This business area will include BBC Technologies' and Compac's expertise. With 25 years of experience in executive leadership roles in Ag Tech behind, Geoff is driven by innovating customer-led solutions that maintain a high-quality product that meets customer needs.
Ashley Hunter, who successfully led the first stage of integration will retire on January 31, after a lasting career within the company.
Michel Picandet, Executive Vice President and Head of TOMRA Food, thanked Ashley for his indisputable contribution to their company bringing a wealth of experience in the field.
He also said that he is confident that Geoff and Ken will successfully consolidate their leading position in the fresh food area and the processed food sector. BBC Technologies and Compac join forces within the Fresh Business sector based on strong partnerships that they will continue to develop.
