Apples, pears and grapes in Russian market in the end of October

Apple market was the worst among other fruits in week 42. The offer certainly exceeded the demand. High prices from Europe kept the market cool but even local, Moldavian and Serbian production was not asked actively for as they followed raising up market. For example, Serbian Golden went on 0,08 $/kg up in comparison with last week. There were some apples from Azerbaijan with rather good quality – Golden and Granny varieties – on 1,20 US$/kg.
The demand has eventually come for pears, as a result the prices went up. Conference 55 + was on 1,40 US$/kg level, 75+ - up to 1,67 US$/kg. The other varieties had no good sales partly due to arrivals of Chinese pears. They were sold on the level about 1,00 US$/kg.
Turkish Sultana was climbing further up. The general level during week 42 was about 1,88 US$/kg but some extremely good parcels could be moved even higher than 2,00 US$/kg. Moldavian grapes followed from 1,37 US$/kg to 1,80 US$/kg. Uzbekistani grapes are left only one variety – red Tajfun. Black grapes from Italy had no sales despite of their sound statement.
