Early potatoes fall by 15%

The 2003 early potato campaign has started in Andalusia, main productive region in Spain. it is forecasted a 15% fall in volumes compared with 2002, in particular due to rains. The crop that will be mainly exported, has started half-May up to the end of June. On a marketing level, Andalusian producers fear the strong competition from France.
