CASI sets record on sales

CASI has sold 2.5 million kilos of tomatoes in a single day!

CASI, cooperative in the region of Almeria, set a record by selling 2.5 million kilos of tomatoes in one day. This record was made last Saturday, at an average price of 0.76 euro the kilo.

CASI was created in 1944, has 1800 members with an area of 2000 hectares.

CASI is currently the largest producer and distributor of tomato in the world.
 

It sells 50% of its production in Spain and the rest for export (France, Poland, Czech Republic, Holland, Belgium, Russia, UK, Germany, Scandinavian and Baltic countries).
