Fleming files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection

Fleming, US Kmart food's supplier, has filed for bankruptcy protection. Indeed, after Kmart filed for bankruptcy in January 2002, Fleming already had to close its distribution centres and lay off 1 800 workers.
