Dutch manufacturer to re-launch its containerised ripening room at Fruit Logistica
Interko – the designer, manufacturer and installer of advanced fruit ripening technology will re-launch its Containerised Ripening Room under the brand name Mobilo at Fruit Logistica on 5-7 April.
Developed and tested jointly with Fyffes, this ripening room was named Mobilo to highlight its unique capability of being easily transported by ship or truck to any part of the world.
Its special mobility is thanks to being built inside a typical insulated refrigeration container. The containerised ripening room can ripen 20 pallets of bananas, mangoes or avocados at the source or in the destination market.
Chris Maat, Interko Managing Director/Partner explained that Mobilo complements their range of ripening rooms: Ultimo, Optimo, and Axesso. This is a mobile, space-saving and multi-functional ripening room destined for international fruit retailers, distributors, importers, and wholesalers.
In addition, the solution is pre-fitted with the latest technology by Interko, including a fail-safe ripening control system.
This sensor-based program is another important feature which is set to revolutionize the company’s ripening room offer. It brings users better flexibility and responsiveness to improve their fruit ripening cycles.
Soon, Interko will launch this new ripening controller for use with its range of ripening rooms. More details to be announced soon.
