Turnkey solutions for blueberries developed by MAF RODA Group.
MAF RODA group specialized in the manufacturing of post-harvest equipment developed a turnkey blueberry process line – BERRYWAY. It is an electronic grader for the sorting, sizing and optical analysis of blueberries, manufactured in own MAF RODA AGROBOTIC factories and presented at Madrid Fruit Attraction last October.
The integrated electronic sensor can analyze the entire surface of each blueberry thanks to the complete rotation of each fruit when passing beneath the camera and taking 56 pictures of each berry. It allows sorting berries according to size, color (to sort out green and red berries), external and internal defects, like softness, scars, dehydration, bruises, peeling on the stalk and presence of stalk.
That means that the operator can set up his own sorting criteria and quality requirements depending on his needs (for example products for export or local market) and just manage the automatic process.
Production capacity of the grader varies from 150 up to 200 kg/hour per line (depending of the average fruit’s weight) and with maximum speed of 2 500 bicones per minute.
These lines were already successfully implemented in USA, Peru, Holland, Chili and Spain, and many more projects to come in these countries and others. Thanks to great experience and the mastery of the necessary technological skills the Company provides also after-sales service with its 15 subsidiaries and a network of more than 45 agents all located in the largest fruits and vegetables producing countries.
MAF RODA will also exhibit at INTERPOMA 2018 from 15th to 17th of November in Bolzano (Italy) where two brand new machines will be exposed: GLOBALSCAN 7 for apples, brand new electronic grading equipment for external quality control with improvement of blemish grading, and FAST PACK, a robot for automatic packing of fruits in trays for Bushel, 40x30, 50x30 and 60x40 formats.
