Colruyt buys Mallet

Belgian supermarket chain Colruyt has acquired through its French subsidiary Pro à Pro Distribution the wholesaler Mallet Group. The Mallet Group, which is based near Orleans, consists of 8 companies, the biggest of whom are Disval (dried food wholesaler) and Silor (fresh produce wholesaler). Their main activity is the supply of local independent stores such as Coccinelle, Coccimarket and Panier Sypma. In 2003, Mallet achieved a turnover of EUR 56 million.
