The NaturaLINE technology has an interesting potential for reefers according to MAERSK LINE, which ordered 200 from CARRIER TRANSICOLD.
New initiative for sustainable development from MAERSK LINE, which has just ordered 100 NaturaLINE units from CARRIER TRANSICOLD using natural refrigerant CO2 for operational testing.
NaturaLINE is the first container refrigeration system to use carbon dioxide (CO2), a safe gas with no impact on the ozone layer. Its global warming potential (GWP) is only 1, so there is no additional impact to warming resulting from potential refrigerant leakage, as is the case with traditional systems.
This is the first shipment of a total of 200 NaturaLINE containers from CARRIER TRANSICOLD ordered by MAERSK LINE which will deploy them on routes between Europe and the Americas.
