Eye-watering prices for apples in Crimea (Ukraine)

According to the latest news, apples prices soar in Crimea (Ukraine). At the current moment, this kind of fruits are available at 0,45 – 1,0 EUROkg, prices depend on fruits quality, size and purchase amount. These figures are 2 times higher comparing to the last year numbers. The main reason of the spurted prices is growing demand from Russian wholesale companies. Due to agricultural specialists, this year apples harvest could be 14% lower comparing to the previous season apples crop. This factor could boost prices even more.
