PotatoEurope 2018: the big event for the whole industry

An international potato event taking place each year in one of the 4 partner countries of the event (Germany, Belgium, France, the Netherlands), PotatoEurope 2018 is taking place on 12 and 13 September near Hanover, Germany. PotatoEurope 2018 expects more than 10,000 visitors.

 

 

 

The event is both an "indoor" exhibition with exhibition spaces and conference venues but also an "outdoor" event with presentation of experimental plots and numerous demonstrations of materials and equipment. This major event in the sector is the privileged place for launching innovation in culture and machines.

 

 

 

This year's program: "Organic Potatoes Meeting Point" during which around twenty exhibitors will present new solutions for the cultivation of organic potatoes and visitors will be able to get acquainted with the latest methods. In 2016, 124 000 tonnes of organic potatoes were marketed in Germany, but 17% had to be imported due to insufficient domestic supplies.

 

 

 

In total, more than 220 companies in the fields of cultivation, fertilization, crop protection and production and processing technology will participate in PotatoEurope 2018.
