According to minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Amin Abaza, Egypt expects to increase agriculture exports by 15-20% of this year.
The rise will be favoured by Arab, regional and international agreements such as the Egypt-EU association agreement, the minister added.
In 2006, agriculture exports amounted 1 billion euros. Estimates confirm that these will double within the next five years.
