Russia suspends free-trade with Ukraine

From the 1st January 2016 all goods including food products from Ukraine will be subject to tariffs.

Russia has decided , in response to the EU decision to extend by six months its economic sanctions, to restore customs duties at the Ukrainian border , thus ending its free trade agreements signed in 2011.

The effective date of this suspension corresponds exactly to the date of entry into force of the Ukraine / EU trade reconciliation , on the 1st January 2016 .
