Vietnam opens its market to California peaches and nectarines

After several rounds of technical negotiations over a period of several years, involving federal and local agencies, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has announced that Vietnam has immediately granted access to its market for California peaches and nectarines.

 

USDA, the United States Department of Agriculture, announced that Vietnam had granted immediate market access to California peaches and nectarines.

 

‘This market access is a great victory for California nectarine and peach growers,’ said Jenny Lester Moffitt, USDA Under Secretary for Marketing and Regulatory Programs.

 

‘Access to this market is something our industry has been working towards for a long time, so we're looking forward to introducing our fruit to a new group of consumers,’ said Caroline Stringer, Director of Trade at the California Fresh Fruit Association (CFFA).
