A recent survey has revealed that consumption by French households of fruit and vegetables rose in 2003 for the first time in 4 years.
The rise was a modest 0.7 percent, with each household consuming 142.5 kilos of fruit and vegetables (excluding potatoes) per year.
The fresh produce industry launched a three-year 20 million euro advertising campaign last year to encourage people to eat more fruit and vegetables.
