In Victoria's north-west citrus belt of Sunraysia, Red Cliffs citrus packer and farmer Chris Goulding is expecting the quality of this year's crop of navel oranges to be exceptional, allowing him to sell more into the crucial United States market and according to the Murray Valley Citrus Growers, this year's navel crop will yield a high level of export-quality fruit, just as fresh opportunities appear in the US, after consignments from key competitor, South Africa, were rejected due to infestation of the pest-false codling moth.
