Washington State , No. 1 in the production of blueberries

Washingon exceeded Georgia becoming the largest US producer of blueberries.

This season Washington will reap a record of 110 million pounds, nearly 50 million kilos of blueberries.

Demand is incredibly high by producers. This record production will be in trouble to meet demand , the majority of the harvest will be 70% for processing (ice cream , pastries, juice ... ), 30% will be sold on the fresh market.

Production planned in the state of Washington will exceed that of the states of Michigan ( 95/100 million) Georgia (78 million pounds) , California , New Jersey and North Carolina. Harvesting in Washington from June to September.
