Poland has increased import of potatoes
According to the latest data, Poland has increased import volumes of potatoes from Western Europe. The main reasons of the increasing import volumes are low quality and high prices for products produced by local farmers. Current prices for polish potatoes verify from 0,25 to 0,32 EUROkg, while imported potatoes are sold at 0,3 – 0,37 EUROkg. New potatoes from Cyprus have been delivered to the domestic market of Poland earlier than it was expected, at the current moment prices for this kind of vegetables comprise 0,6 – 0,65 EUROkg.
