Exports increased by 44% and will continue to grow

 

 

At the WorldFood Azerbaijan 2017 and CaspianAgro 2017 trade fairs in Baku, the Minister of Agriculture welcomed the excellent performance of exports of agricultural products (+ 44% in January-April 2017). This remarkable growth is the result of the growth of Fruit & Vegetable shipments.

 

 

 

The minister expects an even larger increase in exports in the coming years. In order to achieve this, Azerbaijan has set itself the objective of developing seed (potatoes, vegetables) to accompany the increase in production. The country will also multiply the research institutes and the agrochemical laboratories this year.
