Forecast of stone-fruit harvest

A strong period of freezing affected this year various zones of production in Europe including Greece, Italy and the Valley of te Rhone in France. Nectarines in particular were very affected. The 2003 production should thus approach the 3 000 000 tons but Greece and Italy are likely to be particularly overdrawn.
