Export of strawberries and berries in Argentina augmented 47% in 2007

Argentina exported in first three months of this year strawberries and blueberries for 4.6 million American dollars, 47% more than in the same period of 2006, informed official Argentine sources.
National Sanitary and Quality Agroalimentary Service (SENASA) marked that volume of berries increased 6% to the level of 1.554 tons.
In these three first months of this year, blueberries brought the biggest income in currency with 3,43 million of American dollars and 641 tons of fruit shipped.
USA was the principal destination of shipped fruit followed by Holland and England.
